6/29/2021
An ICU nurse from Venice Regional Bayfront Health earned a notable distinction in May 2021 when Nick Madonna, R.N., was named a community MVP for Florida’s 17th Congressional District.
The award recognizes unsung heroes who display extraordinary dedication to making a difference. Madonna was honored for his work caring for patients throughout the pandemic.
“Working in our ICU, Nick cares for the hospital’s most vulnerable patients,” said Venice Regional CEO Kelly Enriquez. “He is frequently commended by patients’ families and his peers.”
“Nick is a phenomenal nurse who always leads with compassion,” said Gina All, Chief Nursing Officer. “I’m grateful that Nick calls Venice Regional his home.”
Madonna will graduate from State College of Florida this summer and aspires to attend graduate school to become a nurse anesthetist or an advanced nurse practitioner.
“I’m deeply honored by this recognition, which I share with our entire team at Venice Regional,” Madonna said. “While each individual has a vital role in patient care, our combined efforts are what make the difference for patients and their families.”
