ShorePoint Health Venice is a 312-bed, acute care hospital and is part of the ShorePoint Health Network.
Our regional network of six hospitals and more than 6,000 medical professionals offers patients a broader range of services and experience than any one hospital could provide. Recognized nationally for our quality of care, we are integrated to give our patients exceptional clinical knowledge while providing advanced treatments and technology.
Accredited by the Joint Commission, ShorePoint Health Venice provides an array of health care services to the greater Venice area. The hospital and its affiliated ShorePoint Medical Group clinics provide quality health care that is accessible to residents and visitors across Central and South Sarasota County. The hospital’s services include cardiac, stroke, orthopedic, metabolic, open-heart and advanced surgery, wound care, women’s care and interventional radiology.
Our team has more than 350 affiliated physicians and 1,200 employees. The Hospital Volunteers of Venice, a non-profit organization, supports our hospital with nearly 500 volunteers and contributes to the community through grants and scholarships.
ShorePoint Health Venice is nationally recognized through awards, certifications and accreditations in multiple service areas, including Advanced Certification for Primary Stroke Centers Gold Seal of Approval® by The Joint Commission for eight consecutive years; Chest Pain Certification of Distinction by The Joint Commission, 2019; American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® Stroke Gold Plus with Honor Roll Elite Plus Achievement Award; Blue Distinction Center+ for Bariatric Surgery Designation by Florida Blue; Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology; and Healogics Robert A. Warriner III, M.D., Center of Excellence (11th year) and Center of Distinction (12th year).

Founded on December 3, 1951, ShorePoint Health Venice has served the region for nearly 70 years and has become one of the largest employers in the region. We support our community through charitable and uncompensated care, community activities, taxes and payroll exceeding $82 million annually.
