Venice Regional Bayfront Health Names Chief Nursing Officer

Venice Regional Bayfront Health has named Dawn Beljin, R.N., B.S.N., M.B.A., the hospital’s chief nursing officer (CNO) responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and related operations across the 312-bed, acute care hospital.
Beljin brings a breadth of experience from decades of clinical and leadership experience in hospital operations and administration. Prior to joining Venice Regional, Beljin was CNO at Dallas Medical Center, a full-service acute care hospital.
Previously, she opened a physician-owned, for-profit hospital in Texas and served as the chief operating officer. She also has served as director of emergency and inpatient services for a not-for-profit community hospital. Her previous nursing experience includes intensive care, post anesthesia care, and charge nurse at an outpatient surgery center.
Beljin received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Malone College in Canton, Ohio and Masters of Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio. She has been awarded the designation of certified Six Sigma green belt, which has heightened her ability to recognize quality and process inefficiencies and improve performance throughout organizations. Beljin recently was listed by Becker’s Hospital Review among 60 CNOs to know at the nation’s hospitals and health systems.
