6/21/2017
Venice Regional Bayfront Health has appointed Bob Moore Chief Executive Officer. Moore has more than 30 years of executive hospital leadership experience. For the past three years, he has served as CEO for Munroe Regional Medical Center, a 421-bed hospital in Ocala. Moore will join the hospital in late July.
“Venice Regional Bayfront Health plays a critical role, and I am committed to working with physicians, employees, volunteers and the Venice community to continue to serve patients with high quality, compassionate care,” Moore said. “I am honored to support this work and serve the patients who entrust their care to us.”
During his tenure in Ocala, Moore led work to bring the hospital's master facility plan to life through an Emergency Room expansion, development of a 12-bed Level II NICU and expansion of women's healthcare services. Planning for the development of a new 100-bed acute care hospital in western Marion County is well underway. Moore also led capital investments to expand and introduce new services, including expansion of robotic and minimally invasive surgery technologies. Access to primary and specialty care has grown with the recruitment of more than 20 physicians to Munroe Medical Group.
“Bob’s deep healthcare expertise and dedication to serving the unique needs our community, as well as community involvement will benefit our hospital, patients and the community,” said Lynn Joyner, Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Venice Regional Bayfront Health. “On behalf of the entire board, we look forward to working with him to continue strengthening our care and services.”
Patient satisfaction as measured through HCAHPS has increased each of the past three years in Ocala, as have employee and physician satisfaction. Quality outcomes have improved year over year in core measures and the hospital was named one of HealthGrades Top 50 Hospitals in 2015 and 2016.
“Bob has a track record for enhancing quality and putting patient care first,” said Dr. Ki Hassler, Chief of Staff, Venice Regional Bayfront Health. “His experience developing new facilities and expanding access to care will be valuable as we look to increase our service to our community."
Prior to his most recent position, Moore also served as CEO of hospitals in Pennsylvania, Missouri and Illinois. He completed his undergraduate degree at Illinois College in Jacksonville, Illinois, and an MBA from Northcentral University in Prescott, Arizona. He also holds a Master’s of Science in Management from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois, and a certificate in Hospital Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
